I signed up to Skillshare as a free trial.
The afternoon BEFORE my trial was supposed to end I got the email from them thanking me for subscribing to Premium.
Naturally, I was perplexed. It is normal for businesses to offer free trials in hopes you enjoy the product enough to actually cover it. What isn't normal is for the enterprise to LIE for you and bill you the day before the free trial will even end, in effect tricking you and quitting your money. I was mad.
I looked online and after 30 minutes of digging I found a telephone number for the firm (Red flag, and what valid company does not have an easily accessible customer service number?) . I called this number and it moved straight to voicemail. At this point I was freaking out cause all these adventures were leading me to believe this actually was a scam. The only real option left to me is to compose them an email through their website. This was 3 months ago, and I've yet to get a response.
I'm appalled at the way they handle business (by first tricking their customers, then dismissing their concerns). They stole my money without warning and are currently unreachable.
I moved back on their own site as well as their advertising for Premium is a lie. It clearly states that your Premium accounts is cancelable at any time. What they really mean is you're able to cancel it so that it will not revive at the next billing cycle (that is an entire year!!) . They're Is Skillshare a Scam? Absolutely Not, But There Are Pros And Cons ... crooks. If their articles were really good, I'd have happily continued with their solutions, but all their videos are things I can locate on YouTube or alternative places at no cost. The only thing that I an do now is spare others the hassle.
DO NOT register for your free trial. Should you do a little more research you'll discover a use this link plethora of other reviews such as mine.
Go to Lynda.com or even YouTube. Please, don't make the identical mistake that I did, and keep away!!
I composed Skillshare a final time, and it seems like from the previous 4 months they have upped their customer service game. I obtained a same-day response apologizing to my previous experience and with an offer to repay me all my money. This gesture was more than I expected, and I am grateful to know that people do work in this business, and it seems they are listening to the negative reviews and also trying to create a much better firm.
